Hotel is the best option. They could be just what you need for your trip, especially if it's just the two of you. You can go with big chains are either trusted or small chains that may take some digging to make sure you get good, clean, affordable hotel room with everything you need. However, if you are traveling with a person or as a family, a hotel room can get cramped, lack privacy, and expensive when you upgrade to a suite and add additional facilities (such as the kitchen).
Hotels though are great because they are easy to find many good deals with all the viable travel sites out there.
But, you have other options ....
** What about condos? Condos are great, and in some destinations the main option. Condos can be small or large. They offer added space, extra amenities, prime location, and at a price comparable to hotel rooms.
For example, we live in a condo (small) old in Miami. We rented for only $ 400 for a week. It's perfect for my wife and I. the bed is pulled down from the wall, we have a very very clean room, a private entrance to place and the beach, quiet area, 2 swimming pools, kitchen with appliances, nice bathroom, cable, and gorgeous views of the Atlantic. That was our "love shack" for a week and a lot cheaper by nearly $ 200 of every hotel in the area.
** Rent a home. This is now a big way is the current real real. If you are traveling with a large group, then this could be your best option. Get everything you need or live like luxury homes on the beach for your vacation.
After, 18 members of our family went to Florida and had to rent a house. It was not in the ocean, but on a bay. It's perfect. It has 3 levels, hot tub, pool, 4-5 bedrooms, plenty of space, facilities, and a lot of fun. We have a great time together because everyone's lives in various countries. It was very affordable once split up 4 ways also.
** Resorts and All-inclusive. This is an excellent choice for families or if you do not want to worry about reaching into your pocket. All-inclusive seems to be reduced in the U.S., but you can find abroad and usually the best option. Resort is great for those who want to spend quality time together, get a lot of privacy and space, and enjoy various activities such as golf, fishing, things for kids, spa, etc. ..
** Time Shares. It grew rapidly in the world of travel. Time-shares are great if you use them. You pay a fee upfront and once a year to take advantage of time-shares. There are different types, so you'll want to do your research. Buying a time-share is similar to buying a home in that you do not want to take the decision lightly.
My wife's parents have one and love it. They can go anywhere they want during their stay in the designated places. We use them for our honeymoon in Palm Beach, Florida. It was first class all the way.
If you and your family travel at least once a year, consider looking into part time.
** Camping and RV park. With the camping and RV park road is currently defined, the term "rough" does not exactly come to mind. You can get almost everything in the camp that you would get at a hotel. They are cheap, live in the wild for a week, and had a great time. There are several things to consider if you are a novice to camping, so you'll want to do your homework before you decide on this as an option.
** Houseboats. Living on the water for your trip. This, other options to choose from. My aunt has lived in a house boat in Florida for years and love it. This is something that many do not even think about, but look into it, you might not return to live on land for a future trip.
